What to do before the end of January

New year, new resolutions?

The new year just started and now that the festivities are over, it is time again to make a plan for the 12 months ahead. I believe planning is the best way to succeed and there is no better time to plan than after having time to rest and reflect. Here, we are going to share with you the tips we have used so far to make the start of a year a successful one.

Get an agenda – journal

We like to use them because they allow us to keep an overview of our daily activities and our thoughts. It is a good way to monitor our state of mind and ideas and also manifest the things we want to accomplish. There are plenty of options available out there in soft and hard copy. The trick is to find one that aligns with the way you like to record activities in your life.

Make a financial plan:

It is imperative to have a budget and to stick to it, because such a budget allows you to manage your money wisely. When doing so, you are staying clear of impulsive buys. We also believe that money should have a function and a purpose, because if in your mind it lays idle, you are more likely to spend it frivolously. Tip: have separate accounts with specific goals, for instance one for retirement, one for holidays and so forth.

Plan your holidays

As the saying goes: “the early bird gets the worm” planning your holidays in advance will allow you to have the best deal, but also to have something to look forward to when you get stuck in the routine.

Have a health check

We have probably all heard this cliché sentence: “health is wealth” ; and it rings true now more than ever. Selfcare should be on top of everyone’s list because not only is it an act of self love, it is also a sign of good manners and respect for your fellow human being.

Tell us in the comments what you like to kickstart at the beginning of every year.
