How to survive Valentine’s day without a love(r)?

Happy valentine days people! I hope you had a wonderful time and enjoyed your time with your loved one. While 14th February might feel like a beautiful day, for many, it is a reminder of what they are missing and being single can be so confronting this time of the year. 

The best way to get over this feeling is to pour that energy into oneself and make yourself the focus of your love and attention. You can achieve this feeling by so many different and varied ways, but before you do any further, please listen to this song by mary J blige.

Best way to love yourself:

  1. cook your favorite meal

This is a day to remind yourself of the battles you won and the strength you had to leave toxic relationships and not be sad that you are alone.   1. surround yourself with people that love you.

If you feel low during this time, instead of sinking into a depression or crying at pictures of friends and celebrities that receive glorifying love declarations, seek the people that love you (friends, parents, siblings) or surround yourself with things that make you happy.

This might be the best day to take time for yourself if you do not have friends and/or family.
